Another debacle from the front office and higher ups at Canuck World.
Once again, the Coach is the fall guy.
Management: AKA Rutherford tells us the team does not need a re-build just some adjustments. Where have we heard that before?
Its time to look inward. By that I mean the owners, the Aquilani’s.
Remember when you fired the coach?
Then you fired the GM and brought in Trevor Linden to right the ship
Then you fired Trevor Linden
Last season under Boudreau the Canucks played so well we all thought we were going into this season to be contenders, or at least make the playoffs.
Now, you are not so secretly going to replace him with who? Rick Tochet. How is his track record as a coach? Not as good as Boudreau’s. The players respect Boudreau. The Canucks organization owes him some loyalty and thanks for pulling this team out of its funk last season. And this year he has to work under a GM who its rumoured doesn’t like him and is pissed because he didn’t get to chose the coach last year.
Maybe fire Rutherford and make Boudreau the GM.
You signed all these premiere players in the summer of 2022 for big bucks.
The Team is in the tank.
And you all talk about tinkering to make the team better.
Mabne its time for a real change. Maybe a new owner should come in and make those decisions. Maybe the Aquilani’s are just too comfortable and used to the prestige that comes along with owning an NHL Team.
C’mon you guys.
Bite the bullet.
Make those trades that are gonna hurt.
Re-Build the Team.
Re-building will work.
You’ll even achieve a higher level of prestige and respect for accomplishing that.
And when you apologize to Boudreau you should also apologize to the Canuck fans
